My Beauty Lily is a platform connecting beauty providers to clients looking to get a variety of services from the comfort of their homes, hotel rooms, or any desired location.
Our professionals can offer hair, nails, makeup, waxing and aesthetic services. They can accept or reject booking requests, and manage their schedules and prices while we connect them with clients searching for their services.
I don’t want to share my ID. Can I still sign up?
We ask for an ID and professional license for liability reasons as it’s required for the hiring process in the USA. Bypassing identity verification in the hiring process for freelancers and contractors can have serious consequences for us. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing your ID number, you can cross it or cover it on the picture, however, we still have to be able to visualize your name, address, DOB, and picture.
We confirm that your identity verification process will not be shared with any third party.
Would I need to have my own car to go to the client?
Mobile service is the focus of our business. It means that you will go to the address the client asks you to go to, however, there is no need to own a car if you can still get to the location they have requested by metro, train, Uber, Lift, taxi, or any other transportation. You also have the possibility of rejecting a request if you know that you can’t be in that location. On your service listing, you can also specify the cities you can and can not visit. There is another possibility of adding a “pricing extra” field which you could use for cities. We teach how to customize all this information in the onboarding video.
Do I have to supply my own products, massage bed, and other resources?
Yes. You will be an independent contractor/freelancer, therefore we don’t provide any supplies. You would have to be able to provide whatever services you are offering at the client’s location. We suggest having the basics at the beginning because even though you will be featured on the website, we can’t guarantee you will get booked. It all depends if there are people around you interested in getting the services you offer. Once you start getting booked, maybe it’s time to you can think about investing in better gear/products.
Can I use My Beauty Lily for services I want to perform in my office/clinic/spa?
Absolutely! Even though that is not our marketing efforts and niche, you will still have your own profile with your services, prices, and calendar available for booking. Your clients can just go ahead and request an appointment with you. However, you will have to make sure they know it will be at your place and not theirs. This can be done with some tweaks during the booking process, which you will learn during the boarding process.
Who issues refunds?
Clients can request a refund within 24 hours from the service completion in case they are completely unhappy with your services. In that case, My Beauty Lily will issue a refund from your income balance. Providers that have multiple refund requests or that refuse to refund a client will be excluded from the website.
How do I get paid?
Once you accept an appointment request, the client will receive an email notification to pay for that service. Once the service is paid for and marked as delivered by you, the customer has to accept and mark it as completed. Services are automatically completed after 2 days. The customer can present a complaint and dispute the order during those 2 days. Once the service is marked as completed, you can request a payout. There is no minimum for payouts. However, we ask that you wait to complete all your appointments for the week to request it. Payouts usually happen within 3 business days after the request, but it can take up to a week. You can request to be paid by Paypal or Venmo transfer, Stripe Connect account, Bank Deposit, or check by mail. This process is explained in the onboarding video. My Beauty Lily takes a 20% commission on every appointment completed.
How does the client pay?
The clients will receive an email to provide payment within 24h after you have accepted their appointment request. That money will be on hold until the service is marked as complete. Due to our customer refund policy, customers have 2 days to complain about the service and request a refund, for that reason, services are only marked as completed once the customer confirms it or 2 days have passed from the delivery date.
What if my customer opens a dispute?
The customer has 2 days to open a dispute and get refunded for the service. Disputes will be analyzed case by case and the customer has to prove that the provider performed a poor service or didn’t perform any service at all. Cases of poor performance, no-show, rudeness, mistreatment, discrimination, or any other to be judged by our discretion will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to cancel the provider’s account and exclude him/her from our beautiful community.
Do I have to pay to be on the website?
It is completely free to register and be available for booking on the platform. My Beauty Lily only charges a commission fee of 20% per service completed. You will be an independent contractor, therefore, responsible for having the necessary means to perform your services.
Do I need to have a Social Security Number?
Since you will not be an employee, but an independent contractor instead, you are not required to have a Social Security Number. However, you have to have a tax ID number in case you make more than $600 per year. Tax IDs can be SSN, EIN, or ITIN. You can still register since we can’t guarantee bookings. However, once you hit the $600 mark, you will only continue with us if you provide your tax ID number.
Can I add my business or personal information to my profile?
Since My Beauty Lily doesn’t charge providers to be featured on our website, all the services must be processed through us. We only take a 20% commission on services completed. We expect honesty and good ethics from all providers and we reserve the right to remove accounts that are not honest with us. We offer an annual plan for providers who would like to share their business or personal contacts and have the possibility of getting paid directly.
